Writing is lonely. It doesn’t have to be.

The Scribes is where writers using WriterScribe come to do the hard part together — the showing up, the finishing, the not-giving-up-in-chapter-eleven. It’s a place for people who are serious about the work and tired of doing it alone.

Some of it is live today. Some of it is being built with the first members, in the open. Here’s what it is, and where the door is.

The community

We’re building three things, with our founding members shaping them as we go:

  • Writing Rooms — quiet, scheduled sessions where you write alongside others. Cameras off, word counts on. The accountability of company without the noise.
  • Accountability Partners — matched with another writer at your pace. You check in. You don’t let each other drift.
  • Story Circles — small groups who read each other’s work and tell the truth gently. The thing every writer needs and almost no one has.

These are rolling out through the year, leading into Novel November — our annual challenge to finally finish the book.

The weekly essay

Every week I send one essay from this desk — honest, quiet, about the craft of finishing. No funnels, no upsells. Just one writer talking to another about the work.

One essay a week from Ed Meadow. Unsubscribe anytime.

The door, today

The community lives on Discord. It’s where the first Writing Rooms are forming and where you’ll meet the others. Come in, say hello, tell us what you’re working on.
